Poolside Garden Revival
Project Overview
A newly installed in-ground pool left the backyard torn up, with the existing garden beds cramped and falling apart. We rebuilt the beds as raised garden beds with retaining walls and clean, defined lines, added layered plantings and decorative stone for year-round color, rerouted downspouts underground to a pop-up emitter away from the house and garage, and finished the yard with a full sod makeover.
Project Objectives
- Finish the backyard around the new pool so the family can use the full space
- Rebuild the garden beds with structure that holds up long term
- Add color pops through the planting design
- Move roof water away from the foundation and restore the lawn
